My past was not existing at all.
[ It's a bit harsh, if they were face to face his voice would be a bit snippy. He doesn't understand the feeling, not entirely. If one of his friends had said something similar to him, he would have accepted it more easily. Maybe because they already knew how hard he's been scrabbling to make his second chance worthwhile. Mineva doesn't know him. He doesn't know why that makes him upset. ]
